Nestor Portocarrero was born in Managua, Nicaragua, in 1971. He received his MFA in Photography from Yale University in 1999.
Nestor Portocarrero is interested in looking at manmade attempts to replace the natural, in a time when artifice is seemingly transposable with organic. His work has been exhibited, and is included in public and private collections.
Nestor currently lives in Connecticut.
